Dahlia

Another one from the garden centre. How I wish I had grown this gorgeous flower. My dad used to grow dahlias and I always remember him saying look out for earwigs! Do they like to hide in the flower head? I have no idea!! LOL!!

Earwigs love hiding in dahlias! The creep into those lovely deep crevices on the flower. I was taught that when you want to take them indoors as cut flowers, you tip them upside down and shake 'em out first!
