Look who came to say goodbye

Wow what a wonderful final evening it has been!! First Louise @weezilou cooked me the most delicious dish of scallops for dinner. She knows they are my favourite dish and the recipe with garlic and bacon was fabulous. After dinner sitting in the kitchen chatting I suddenly spotted that the raccoon had come early tonight. Louise puts food out for them every night but while I have been here they have come hours after I have gone to bed. I was so thrilled to see this huge boy come to eat and took lots of pics through the kitchen window. We finally managed to get the door open without him running off and I managed a couple of shots before he left again. There is a huge dish of chicken remains out there so I am sure he will be back later.

What a delightful end to my holiday!! Posting this shot for tomorrow my last day.
I'm glad the pussy is no longer here! Super shot of Mr Rackoon!

Look at those little footprints! That was quite a delight to have not one, but two raccoon visitors this evening, and the chicken bits and bones were scraps from a soup I'm making for a friend who's been in the hospital. All that and a fabulous day seeing the last of the region for photos... Pam and I are certainly on photo overload! It's been great, Pam!

Great capture of him with the pumpkins. I hope he was satisfied with the chicken scraps and did not want to finish his dinner with pumpkins.

You had an amazing trip -- loving the images! This one is SO cute and fits the autumn scene. He's cute, but I wouldn't want him around my garden!

@taffy What I've learned in our years here is that, if you feed them, they make for great photo ops, and they have no need of digging for grubs! In 17 years we've never had a problem with them, and you must admit they're awfully cute!...
@casablanca Yep, REAL raccoons! I welcome them as I love to photograph them, and they're here nightly...sometimes two and three at a time! The best was some time back when we had two parents and 5 fluffy little ones! They're a delight!

Pam, sorry to hear you were stricken with a sinus attack after arriving home : ( You'll have a lot to draw from, even if you can't get out for more pictures! Sure was fun!

What a fantastic capture! Just darling! It doesn't hurt that Louise is Dr. Doolittle either! :)
