A quick upload tonight as I have been busy all day - doing I don't know what!! The time just flew and I still have loads more little tasks which need doing.
This made me laugh as the boys have been fighting off and on all day - they are just so jealous of each other and it doesn't take much to set them off at each others throats. I am thinking of getting a dog behavioural trainer in to see if something can be done to stop the fighting before it really gets out of hand!! They are both as bad as each other although I think George is the main instigator of the violence. he puts his ears down and starts growling and the next thing Finlay goes into attack mode. No blood and I know it's mostly noise but it's not nice.
Many thanks for visiting my project - I am falling behind again but life seems to be taking over at the moment. Family issues keep coming up and I am finding it difficult to concentrate on photography.
Ooh they are like naughty little children, hopefully will get better as George gets older. Wonder if Finley would have taken to a bitch better....we have these thoughts afterwards!
@maggiemae both Finlay and George were castrated at 6 months. I was told George would definitely need to be done to stop the two males fighting to be top dog. Looks like that didn’t work!
@maggiemae I have tried a lot of these suggestions Maggie already especially the spraying with water and feeding separately. I may have to bite the bullet and ask an expert. I just know they charge a lot of money as I had one when Finlay was a puppy and i couldn’t get him to walk - he would just sit down when I put the lead on him! We did solve the problem £400 later!
Perhaps they need some unseen distraction? An immensely dog sensitive friend of mine introduced me to what might help.
Keep a small empty drinks can, one you can put in your pocket.
Partially fill with gravel or whatever will make an unknown noise.
Seal with strong industrial tape.
Make sure it rattles well when shaken.
When the boys become fractious, throw the tin beyond where they are. They must not see whence it’s come. This shouldn’t be too difficult as they'll probably be already involved in a 5* argument. The rattle will stop them in their tracks. They'll know neither from whence the sound arrived nor what it is.
Worked like a charm with Mitzi. Please let us know how it goes.
Forgot to say...they mustn’t see you pick up the can. You can try different
'contents' to make different sounds, thus 'foxing' them and making your unseen threat/diversion always effective.
@s4sayer this sounds just what I was looking for! I have been reading up on what to do and distraction was one thing recommended and I tried clapping my hands ands making noises to no avail! I will give this a go. Thanks Margo!
It's amusing to see that even after fighting off and on all day, they seek each other out for rest periods. It must get old, but hopefully they'll stop it soon.

With baited breath, am looking forward to know how it pans out.
