I was sitting having my morning coffee when the group of goldfinches flew in. Lovely to watch these two keeping watch as the others fed. I think they are a family group who visit every day. I just love their red faces with the back eye masks.

Many thanks for your lovely comments on yesterday's image of George. Although I am giving him pills and putting ear drops in he is fine and continues to jump on Finlay at every opportunity. His aggressive growling and attacks made me throw my slippers in his direction - I didn't hit him of course!! It certainly made him jump and he did not like me shouting at him. I then made no eye contact with him although he did try to jump up near me on the sofa which I didn't allow. I have decided I need to be the alpha person!! I don't like it!!
They are really beautuful. I think dog training is much harder on you than George. You have to be persistent all the time and he always finds a way to break you down because he is just so cute.
One of my disappointments is that we have no gold finches coming to our bird table. We used to but when we went away for six weeks they had gone & have never returned.
We've got these too! Strangely, there are 3 of them which feed on the peanuts just 2 metres from where we eat ant watch, entranced. Long may it continue.
