A walk in the rain once again this morning. This was our normal path through the woods blocked by flooding. We didn’t have walking boots on and I didn’t want the boys going through the muddy water so we found a different path back to the car park.
The level of the Rive Nene which flows through the centre of Wellingborough looked very high after all the rain. We need some dry days!

My sister phoned from the UK last night and she told me they have had lots of rain too.

I like @onewing’s idea, George would have loved a romp in the water. This is a lovely scene. You can sure tell it’s fall, with all the leaves on the ground.
