The new bird hide

For Flash of Red February

As we walked through the gardens at Castle Ashby we saw this new construction overlooking the lake. I called out to the men and it is a bird hide. It looks lovely and will be a great place to watch the birds I think.

Many thanks for visiting my project and leaving such lovely comments.

That looks great! Love the shape. Different from your usual dark web encrusted hide!

It's an interesting shape. Is the circular part the entrance?

@merrelyn From where we were standing it looks like the entrance.

@stevejacob Not sure when it will be finished and open to the public to use. There were no notices about it. I just asked the workmen if it was a bird hid and they said yes. Not very chatty though!! LOL!!

@casablanca I think from the price they charge to enter the gardens it should have soft seats and hot coffee provided!! LOL!! At the moment (winter) you pay £5 per car to park plus gardens. Once the season starts they charge per person and if there is a group it can get quite pricey. We still go there as we love it.

Nice to know what it is is. I saw it being built last time I was there, wondered what it was going to be
