This morning I took the boys to a different country park and had a lovely walk round in the gorgeous sunshine. The sky was beautiful with lovely fluffy clouds.
As we walked back to the car there was an elderly lady sitting by a table. I stopped and had a chat and she told me about her dog who was now dead and she just loved the boys who made a fuss of her. As I walked into the car park a car pulled up and a man got out with a big hamper. He said what a lovely morning it was and then told me that he had brought his mother for a picnic. He said he had organised everything and was so pleased with himself. When they arrived at the country park his mother then told him she had left her false teeth at home!! He said well you can't do everything can you? I had to laugh when I got to the car. Poor chap!!
First - love this shot - I can leave it up on my screen all day and glance at it and imagine, as I work (skies are filled w/smoke here) - then reading your story... it made me laugh too. Many thanks for this lovely landscape - the depth here is awesome!
ROTFL!
I imagine/hope that they were both able to laugh and be cheerful about it. Am impressed that you were able to staunch your laughter until you returned to your car ;-)
Talking to strangers can bring such joy and you never know, you may be the only person they talk to that day. I loved your narrative so much. Beautiful picture too!
