Form a queue by pamknowler

Form a queue

A sign of the times!! We are in lockdown at the moment and will be going into Tier 2 next week. One person at a time in the shop - masks to be worn. No mixing of households.

I liked this shot of the horses queuing outside the farm shop waiting for their carrots.

I have cancelled our Christmas and New year trip to Devon as my sister said she did not want to go anywhere. With the 5 day relaxation for Christmas we would only have been able to see Ruth and her girls for those few days. I think the traffic driving down to Devon will be horrendous and with the 2 dogs in the car I just cannot face the traffic jams I know these Christmas restrictions are going to cause. We are sad we won't be seeing the girls over Christmas but we can look forward to the summer when hopefully we will have the vaccine and we can celebrate together then.
Oh remember when we thought all would be normal by now. Makes me weary of thinking it will happen anytime soon.

I hope that this lockdown helps to break the cycle Pam.

Just makes me sad! Hope all this sacrifice helps.

A sad but wise decision I think Pam. Are you thinking the roads will be busy...that will cause a surge after Christmas if everyone is traveling around the country. We are thinking of staying home too but our daughter has said wait & see. They only live five miles away & we are more or less in their bubble. It’s just when kids come home from further afield....roll on the vaccine! I’m sure you will have peace of mind & you can stay safe.

This is a wonderful documentation photo. I, too, am not going anywhere--our family has not traveled all year and we've had such limited sightings of our family, but I do cherish the moments when we can (in person or virtually). I love seeing your sweet puppy shots and I hope you are well. All good here. xoxo

sorry to hear that your devon plans have had to be cancelled :( it really is tough to have so many families unable to see one another. we are still umming and ahhing over what to do - at any rate we know it would not be sensible to combine the old folk (mr g's father and my mother) with the youngsters (our sons in their 20s), so our normal big family christmas can't occur ...

Wise decision to stay home for Christmas Pam. I wouldn't be travelling anywhere during the pandemic either.
We have only hade 6 new cases here in the last 24 hours and they were all people in hotel quarantine who have come home from overseas. Hopefully in Australia we have beaten the virus at the moment but we can't become complacent.

How sad...though we haven’t even considered being able to be with family for the holidays...hopefully in the spring

I understand why you have made the decision and how sad it is that you had to. We are doing really well in Australia with some states completely virus free.

Sorry to hear of cancelled plans. Our Thanksgiving was very different but still pleasant as we were able to zoom with family. I hope we’ll do the same for Christmas!
