First sign of Autumn by pamknowler

First sign of Autumn

To see the leaves beginning to turn to Autumn colours was a surprise yesterday however today is the first day of the Meteorological Autumn so summer is definitely on the way out!!

I am back after a break from 365/FB/Twitter and feel better for it. Not sure I am back into taking photos every day mode but fingers crossed I can get going again.

August was a bit of a disaster really. Our 3 weeks in Devon turned out to be 4 days, The first house was flooded with sewage and the weeks holiday cancelled at 3pm on the day we should have arrived there. Very disappointing!!
I have not been very well with extremely high blood pressure. We finally got to Devon on the Sunday of the following week but after 4 days I felt the need to be at home. Feeling ill in the middle of nowhere can make you feel very anxious!!
Still doing tests for doctor with my BP and he will phone again on the 7th to see what my average BP is. It is impossible to get a face to face appointment with the doctor and it is all done over the phone. So pleased it's not an emergency!! BP on the way down but still a way to go to reach target.
So sorry to hear your break wasn’t anywhere near what you had hoped it was going to be Pam. Also sorry to hear you haven’t been well, I hope your BP starts to behave itself soon. Welcome back here though. 😃

Nice tree. I was only thinking about the colours on the trees already

I’m so sorry about your blood pressure. I hope your doctor can figure out what you need to stabilize it. It seems to be quite a puzzle for the doctors! Take care of yourself!

The tree looks beautiful. Sorry to hear that you have been having such a rough time. Hope you get some answers soon and that you feel much better.

A lovely tree with autumn colours.Hope your BP is soon under control. It's not very satisfying just speaking to doctors on the phone.I had an MRI scan a couple of months ago.I had a phone appointment with the doctor for the result, found it was a locum who asked me why I'd had the MRI .I was gobsmacked,he obviously hadn't read my notes. What he told me,was nothing I didn't already know.No confidence in the system these days.

Nice image. I read that, thanks to a relatively damp summer, Autumn colours might be particularly dramatic in the UK this year

Welcome back, so sorry to hear you have had such a rough time of it. Hope things are on the mend soon and the medics get to the root of what is causing your high blood pressure.

Starting to see hints of fall here too….just don’t like the winter that comes next! Hope you feel better soon; nice to see you back.

Very pretty image. I'm starting to see it here too. I look forward to cooler weather and a little rain to put out the fires before California just becomes one big chunk of burning embers.

Lovely! I posted a tree today too. Awww…and I was hoping you had a delightful time away. It is hard to stay motivated with all the crappy news and terrible fires in Northern California…plus the hurricane, Covid, Afghanistan debacle, etc. We have had poor air quality and smoke here. Feel better soon and take care!

Your holiday sounds disastrous and I'm sorry to hear about this. We haven't even been away but I am going to try to get B&B in Norfolk for a night next week. Try to relax otherwise your BP will never come down. I've been on BP pills for years so mine is under control but I was still surprised to hear that I have ischaemic heart disease even though both my parents had heart attacks and my Dad dropped down dead in my garden. Keep smiling xx
