A big thank you to everyone for helping to get this shot on PP! I'm so thrilled and still running round the room shouting Yay! Yay! Yay! I finally understand yesterday's word! Lol!
@brav@kazlamont@salza@danitech@gerry Many thanks all for your lovely comments!! @kazlamont Normally I would have been making a Vodka Martini but as I am still on the pain killers I thought I had better stick to fruit juice. Well you have to drink the props don't you!! LOL!! @gerry Thanks for the Fav Gerry!!
@demmie@missmercy@httpgeffed@pocketmouse thank you all so very much for your lovely comments it means such a lot to me! @missmercy the sun was shining yesterday so I took my glass into the garden and placed it on some books on my garden table to give me some height. I positioned it so that the sun was behind the glass backlighting the lemon. The sun was highlighting the glass so I used f22 to get the starburst on the stem. In LR the background was dark and I darkened it some some more to get rid of the detail which was in focus because of the f number I was using. I used the black slider in MR to black out the background. Hope this helps.
@pamknowler Thank you for that. I don't have LR but I'll see if I can do something similar in Picasa. I would never have thought the photo was taken outside. Well done on getting on the PP. :)
@kklickr@danette Many thanks - I am so chuffed about this shot getting on PP!! @missmercy Yes if I need backlighting and the sun is shining (not that often) I will use the garden. I normally have to make do with a torch as backlighting but the sun can give you so many better effects!!
