I am having a cocktail party on Saturday for a friend who has never tasted a cocktail. When she said she likes chocolate flavours I am not sure this was what she meant!!
I am busy looking up recipes and getting all the ingrediants. I am looking forward to having a great time. Anyone got any favourite cocktail recipes they would care to share with me?
Thanks once again for all your kind comments and Favs on my bird shots yesterday. My foot is really bad at the moment and I could not venture far from home.
!0/12 Just woken up to find this shot on the PP!! How wonderful!! Thank you all for your great response to this shot with your lovely comments and Favs!! You are such great supportive friends!!
@salza Thanks for the lovely comment Sally. I have put a shot of the gift bag in my other extras album. This is the bag I have used a few times and depending on what light you use you get different colours.
Fav.... this should be an advert for Lindor..... and I love the idea of the sparkly bag to create the bokeh background (I do love a bit of bokeh myself...!)
I make a chocolate cocktail called a mudslide. It varies depending on what we have in and what flavours people like, but work on the below and add/remove as required!
2 shot vodka
2 shot baileys
1 shot Kahlua or Tia Maria
1/2 pint double cream
1 scoop vanilla Ice cream
1 tbsp of chocolate vermicelli or crumbled chocolate.
(an optional dash of cream soda or lemonade provides a bit of froth but is easily left out)
blitz the lot and pour into a martini glass. When empty repeat until you fall over.
@pamknowler enjoy. The cream and ice cream do mask the alcohol, so be careful!! If you want to add different flavours in sub the Kahlua for Cointreau or Cherry Brandy or Chambord. Cointreau or Chambord works nicely.
Hope you have fun at the cocktail party. Sorry I don't have any recipes to share.
