A friend suggested I took some macro shots using sewing things and I have had this shot in mind for a while. The funny thing was I couldn't get the needle threaded - I think I need new glasses!!

Pam, I just saw this on PP and it leapt out -- so exciting to see it was yours. This is really brilliant! I love the golden thread, the shiny needle and that stark black background. WOW!!!! Fav of course.

@elaine55 Thank you so much Elaine especially for the Fav!! This is taken with my 100mm macro lens then I have cropped in a bit - as camera is full frame I don't loose any detail. I got the gold thread when I went to have Finlay trimmed. I spotted the roll of metalic thread and thought I could use it so Rhona (the breeder) gave me some. It is much stiffer than ordinary thread and it is just threaded through the needle and sticking up on it's own. I was very pleased!!
