1st July 2014 - Summer is here

My first sighting of some swallows this morning. I stopped off at the Tissington Trail to have a coffee and a nap (I left home at 5am to avoid traffic at A14/M1/M6 junction) It was beautiful high on the dales and the swallows had a nest in the roof of the cafe and they kept swooping in and out. This one stopped for a brief moment. I have never managed to get a swallow flight shot - one day maybe!! LOL!!

Wow...though I live up the road from San Juan Capistrano, well know for the song about returning swallows...I don't believe I've ever seen one sitting still! I had no idea they were this pretty! Thanks for what is, to me, a nice still shot!
