9th January 2014 - The birds!!

Having fun playing with B&W tonight for the technique18 challenge. I like the way this B&W changes the whole atmosphere of the landfill. It reminded me of the film "The Birds" LOL!!

@pamknowler We haven't had great weather this week Pam but it is a lovely day today. I actually didn't mind the cold in the UK as it was a lot milder than I thought it would be. I do detest rain however and dull skies and we seemed to have brought it back with us. I didn't take many photos when I was away so I am slowly catching up, a few done on my iPhone. I need to to try to finish my first year as I should have done that on 31st December but had too many gaps.

I like this the best of the series. The space between birds and ground lets us see the machinery, and B&W looks a bit grittier.

I immediately thought of the movie, "The Birds" too. And I'll be honest, I'm a little afraid of birds, so this would have been a hard shot for me to take! I'm glad you did it because it's fantastic! I love it!

Kind of creepy - if I didn't know it was a landfill - I think "The Birds" had the greatest impact on me, of all Hitchcock's movies.
