It was so interesting listening to the Blacksmith telling us about the history of the workshop on the farm.

Uploaded for my alternate album - sorry for the mass upload today but I am now up to date in my travels. Off to Cape Bretton Island tomorrow so may be out of touch.
@golftragic Thought I'd jump in as I clearly am doing an abysmal job of getting my photos posted! This IS a working forge, and everything made here is used or sold in the gift shop. Maybe of more interest to "us locals", people with oxen bring them here to be shoed. Unlike a horse, an oxen can't bend its leg and needs the special ramp that they have to shoe them. The new things we learn everyday!!! @milaniet We *were* standing right there with him :) It was just the 3 of us talking to him, and the information was fascinating! Pam, wonderful, natural stance you captured!
@Weezilou Goodness gracious me Louise, I didn't know that fact about oxen. Any day you learn something new is a good day in my book. Thanks for the extra information on the forge too, very interesting. Mind you, I still don't know why anyone would want to shoe an ox, but that's another question.
