Iceberg Alley by pamknowler

Iceberg Alley

The channel running down the east coast of Newfoundland is known as Iceberg Alley. We drove up the coast from Trinity towards Bonavista and were rewarded with so many sightings of huge icebergs - just stunning to see!! I liked this iceberg in the foreground as it has blue stripes all along the front edge. These icebergs are huge but we saw even larger ones a bit later in the day!! Amazing!!

You've heard the expression, "The tip of the iceberg". What you see here is just 10% of its full size! They're astounding to consider! You captured such a gorgeous image of these, Pam, and a clear view of what they look like in multiples which we have been seeing! Marvelous day!

Fabulous capture. Are you on a tour Pam? I'm so interested to see where you've been as we lived in NFLD for 3 years and have since been back for a visit. Used to see icebergs from our living room!
