I was in the garden with Finlay when he started leaping around trying to catch a bee!! I watched the bee and it kept coming back to the garden and settling on the water in my birdbath. I rushed in for my camera and luckily the macro lens was already on it. I was amazed when I put the shots on the PC to see the bee's tongue in the water drinking like a straw. I have never seen this before so thought I would share it with you.

I have just been told by my very clever godson that the tongue is called its probiscus and is indeed like a straw through which the bee sucks the necar and in this case water.
