A dark wet day so I thought I would have a go at water crowns - no luck so I tried it with milk - even worse!! I got bored in the end as my success rate was nil and I had taken about 250 pics!!
I decided to have a look at some of my old shots and share another favourite with you. This fox is at the Brtish Wildlife Trust, Lingfield where I used to visit frequently when I lived in Redhill. So many of my favourite animals there and if you are lucky you can get some great shots!! I wish I could find somewhere like BWT near where I live now in Northamptonshire.
I will have another go at the water crowns when the light is better. I did try flash but still no success!! Back to the drawing board!!
Uploaded for my extras album
Wow just woke up to find my Fox on the new Trending page and also on the PP! So thrilled as I love this shot and so pleased that you do too! Thank you for all the great comments and Favs which got him on both pages!
Give me a fox any day! This is a treat to behold. So glad you dug it out of the archives, is is absolutely pouring here, dim , grey and miserable. This is a ray of sunshine. Fav
Gosh that's gorgeous. I tried a water crown (well an orange juice crown) for too long indoors, then next day did it outdoors in good light and got about 20 good shots. I'm told Aaron did water crowns in the dark with a flash...... I'll see if I can find his info if you want to know more.
@filsie65 Thanks Phil. I have tried this before but have never been successful!! I will have another go if its lighter outside. I tried the flash but I was overexposing or missing the drips completely!!
foxes are beautiful creatures... and the tend to be very wary of people, so they aren't easy to get a glimpse of, let alone a picture... this is fantastic! Fav
Another beautiful shot Pam, just perfect. Fav. Ps Have tried water crowns on several occasions now and like you taken 100's of shots but not a singe one was any use!! I'm determined to try again though - when I can face it!!
@paulaw Thank you so much Paula!! I really appreciate your lovely comment and fav!! Trying to get water crowns is a bit soul destroying!! You can see perfect ones forming and and you think "Yes!!" and then you look at the shot on the PC!! I am definitely going to have another go when I have taken some stress reducing tablets!! LOL!!
Fabulous capture Pam, I would really like to visit the BTW at some stage when I am in the UK as I have seen some fabulous shots from there. A friend of mine has taken some fab shots. Sorry I haven't been keeping up lately.
@bristolrose@elaine55 Many thanks for your great comments and favs whcih are very much appreciated!!
@elaine55 You will love BWT if you get the time to go. You can have a special photography day I think where you get better access to the animals. I just love the foxes and the red squirrels. You are so busy Elaine don't worry about keeping up or you will strees about it. Look forward to your holiday in the UK - not long now!!
