It was great watching the ducks this morning. They kept coming out of the water and up to the car in search of food. Then Finlay would chase them off and they would fly down to the water. And repeat it again and again!! I was so pleased I had my 100-400mm lens with me and could capture some flight shots!!
This is a remarkable photo. The two males are in the same wings-forward position, while the female is wings-back. The whole thing comes together perfectly. Fav.
@maggiemae@rosiekind Maggiemae I increased my IS0 to 500 as I wanted to catch the birds in flight. With the Canon 5D I can increase my ISO right up and still get great shots. In LR I can eliminate extras noise. The lens is wonderful for flight shots!!
Rosie yes it is a heavy lens but I have got used to it and normally have it with me. It is my lens of choice for bird shots. Well birds that are quite close that is. I would love to have a 500 mm lens but I know I couldn't lift it!! LOL!!
