I met up with my friends Phil and Gill today for lunch in Woburn. Phil (on RHS) drove from Lichfield and Gill came on the train from Sidcup, Kent and I drove over from Wellingborough, Northants. We try to meet up at least once a year but have decided we need to stay at a hotel/health farm next time for the weekend as we did not have enough time to catch up on all our news!! We were the last ones left in the restaurant and they were making up the tables for the evening meal all around us. They were so kind as they knew we were having our reunion and told us not to rush.
We are all now 66 years old and I have been friends with Phil since I was 4 when we went to Primary School. We were in the same class every year through to when we were 18 and left our Comprehensive School Peckham Girls School. We met Gill when we all went to Peckham at 11 years of age. True friends indeed who never run out of things to talk about!!
@happypat Not 365 friends Pat these are my two school friends. Neither of them take any photos however they are both very creative and artistic in other ways. Strange how we all develop our talents in different ways.
To have such good friends of long-standing like that is really remarkable! It says a lot about YOU as their friend, too, Pam! You know me...I would TOTALLY opt for a weekend slumber party! It was good fun in our teens, and now it's good enough for grannies!
