Success! I was thrilled with George this morning on his first walk. He followed Finlay straight out the door and we were away. He trotted round and just like Finlay sniffed every leaf and blade of grass.
We only met one dog and luckily it was Isla a female Westie who Finlay’s knows well. She was very gentle with George and then ignored him. George was excited to meet Brenda Isla’s owner too and I was really pleased with our first encounter. A lovely sunny day but it was very cold with a thick frost. This was so much better than Finlay’s first walk where he refused to walk at all. This went on for weeks and I had to carry Finlay for most of his early “walks”
How brilliant!! He looks so cute on his lead and Finlay looks so nonchalant (sp!) I had a rescue dog years ago and when I took her out she really had no idea what to do, then she just sit down and I had to carry her home!! You must be getting so much fun and company from your 2 boys :-)
Finlay is definitely the big brother modeling what to do for George -- and that will make George's development a bit faster, I bet. They are both so cute together.
