I am so pleased that the male Black Cap is now visiting the feeders every day and staying for a long time gorging on the sunflower seeds. I did get a quick glimpse of the female last week but that was all. I hope she comes back again!!
This weekend is the Big Garden Birdwatch for the RSPB which I have done for the last two years. You take one hour over this weekend and record all the birds visiting your garden during that time. The data is then uploaded to the RSPB website and they publish the results in a few weeks time. It gives them a great idea which birds are doing well and which ones are in trouble.
I do hope my Blackcap visits during my hour of birdwatching!!
