The River Wharfe runs through the grounds of Bolton Abbey which is why it is such a popular spot especially for families. In the hot weather the children ar all paddling in the shallow parts of the river and having fun. This is a deeper and rougher part of the river and a beautiful place to park your car overlooking this view. Can you spot the heron? He was there the whole time and didn't move!!
