transit of venus

The tiny grey spot is all that my camera could handle of the perfect sphere my eyes saw using the eclipse viewing shield we still have. Maybe 105 years from now I'll have a better camera when it comes back but this is my playing and experimenting for Wednesday's 30 days in June challenge
Good for you!!!

You are so lucky to get a shot of this phenomena. It's been raining cats and dogs here for the last few days and our skies are overcast. You can tell by my photo of the helicopter today. I think this shot is outstanding!!

Very nice - our sky clouded up just before :(

I like it.

How did you get this shot? I didn't want to point my camera at the sun (actually didn't think *anything* would come out if I did) so we rigged binoculars to shine onto posterboard and I took a picture of that.

I'm impressed!

That is soooo excellent!! I couldn't see it here because we had clouds. It's great that I'm able to "see" it through the pictures others took on 365.

@hoosierhokie The state Park sold eclipse viewing lenses when we had the eclipse, so I held the lens over my camera to shoot through. I had just done that for the eclipse shot http://365project.org/pandorasecho/365/2012-05-21
but when I took a bunch they all were blinding white except this one
