The tiny grey spot is all that my camera could handle of the perfect sphere my eyes saw using the eclipse viewing shield we still have. Maybe 105 years from now I'll have a better camera when it comes back but this is my playing and experimenting for Wednesday's 30 days in June challenge
You are so lucky to get a shot of this phenomena. It's been raining cats and dogs here for the last few days and our skies are overcast. You can tell by my photo of the helicopter today. I think this shot is outstanding!!
How did you get this shot? I didn't want to point my camera at the sun (actually didn't think *anything* would come out if I did) so we rigged binoculars to shine onto posterboard and I took a picture of that.
@hoosierhokie The state Park sold eclipse viewing lenses when we had the eclipse, so I held the lens over my camera to shoot through. I had just done that for the eclipse shot http://365project.org/pandorasecho/365/2012-05-21
