On Hwy 101, just 14 miles south of here, this is a slight stretch of the Tuesday's in your neighborhood for the challenge.
Walking the trail here you come to the Cathedral tree where the local church's celebrate a non-denominational Easter, and to a sky trail, cable car. Inside there is a Free Native American Museum and fantastic fudge. One year Babe's head fell off and Paul's axe looked really ominous until it was repaired. Paul waves his hand and winks and a man seated in his chest looks out through the chest hair and talks in a big booming voice changer.
Once I was in the Universal Studios back lot tour and was amazed to glimpse them, in half size from the tram. I guess they were in a bigfoot movie "Harry and the Hendersons"
Young boys are less interested in Paul than in the giant blue "balls" underneath Babe. The Photo ops for that are funny and often repeated.
Beautiful scenery and pov! Including Paul and Babe ....loved your comment. Hmmm....It might be funny to watch the "boys" take their photos of this. All in the eyes of the beholder. :)
@karenann This time when we were there, paul was actually talking to a young family back there and I heard him complain, "Hey, why does Babe always have people disappear back there?"
Oooh! I saw this when I was looking at stuff to see on our upcoming trip to northern CA/OR. I've seen Paul and Babe statues before but in Minnesota. After all, he was originally from this side of the country. ;o)
@catsmeowb They never could have logged the Northern California Redwoods without him, plus I think he drug his axe and dug the Grand Canyon on his way here.
my husband is additicted to their fudge
