As long as Rocky doesn't move too loudly, Ford will only strongly suspect he's there, but the cat's patience far outstrips Ford's so he also makes mad dashes out into the yard and circles back to see if maybe that strong cat smell isn't coming from somewhere else.
@carolmw He is blind so he isn't really staring but he's pretty sure he knows where it is, then again, if I say, "Where's the Cat?" he is filled with doubt and jumps down and starts sniffing in circles
