I was walking her home from the school bus stop, when it took my breath away, seeing her suddenly so grown and knowing my baby girl, just isn’t anyone’s baby at all. She still needs Grandma, but realizing what a tiny eye blink ago it was when her Dad still needed me, I know that soon she won’t. She will always love me, but she won’t always be my constant companion.
@happypat I had wished that once. But that was before I had Daisy and then her two younger cousins. I miss the older generations, and hate thinking that they will be missing me one day, but I love the new kids and stopping the clock doesn’t keep those new babies coming.
It has been interesting to watch her grow up from afar- but she really has! You have a very special bond with her. She won't always be your shadow, but you will always be her go-to person when she wants to talk- I'm sure of it!
