Ginkgo

I spotted this tree 3 or 4 days ago and made a mental note to get back soon. Yikes, I nearly wasn't soon enough. It was full of leaves when I first saw it, and today it was almost bare. I was wishing for some Krazy Glue...and a ladder. LOL
Ginkgo trees are gorgeous when the leaves turn.
Composition is lacking. I hate that I cut that bottom leaf off. Ah well.

I believe these trees are some of the oldest on the planet in terms of ancestry. They are so beautiful in their autumn dress. I like this shot that shows the unusual shape of their leaves.

I did a quick Google to check the spelling ( I had it wrong) and I was sure I saw it mentioned somewhere that they are very old trees. I love the fan shape of the leaves too.
