Yum, Yum, Caladium by pasadenarose

Yum, Yum, Caladium

I LOVE Caladium. I just spent nearly an hour searching the internet for the name of this plant. I kept thinking coleus, but that wasn't right. Finally I looked for shade plants and stumbled upon the loveliness that is Caladium.:-)

There was a time I couldn't stand this plant, or any other plant that had such odd coloring. Leaves should be green! Period! End of story.
Somewhere, somehow, Caladium found a way to melt my hardened heart. There are so many variations in the coloring from white to pale pink to hot pink to deep red and many shades of green.
Yes, yummy stuff.

This is not my plant. I don't even have a garden where I am, so I have to lust after the plants of others. LOL

I tried this as B&W and liked the abstract effect, but of course I couldn't lose those wonderful colors. So the color is here and I'll load the B&W in my other album.
It looks like it it bleeding. Love your words and shot!

I really like this shot, Rose. Caladiums are one of my favorite plants. I just wish they were a perennial because that color is a welcome diversity in a garden.

Ah, you should go to the Caladium Capital of the World--Lake Placid, FL! Fields and fields of the flowers!
