One of us had to do a full-on bluebell shot, and after a bit of a tussle between myself and Lee, it turned out to be me. Unfortunately, it meant a 5am get up, and I'm not very good at those, so the rest of the day was a bit of a write-off...
But I wasn't disappointed. West Woods, near Marlborough in Wiltshire, is a truly beautiful spot, particularly early in the morning when there's no one around to disturb the peace and quiet. Except, that is, for the little deer that wandered behind me a few feet away as I snapped a few shots. Sublime...
Unfortunately I can only fav this once - wish it could be more. So magical and an unforgettable experience for you too. Could I get up at that time? Not sure. I admire your dedication.
Morning is the best time of day. I get up by 5 a.m. or early every day. It is such a quiet time of day. I love to go out to photograph too as the sun rises. This is a beautiful shot.
Wonderful, love bluebells, I've just checked on ours here in the north east and they are just showing, but will be another week or so yet. Lovely capture, fav for me.
Lovely shot - pov and composition. Well worth the early rise isn't it? Well done on getting the star-bust from the sun too. Great processing too. Has to be a fav.
@sheilaj Thank you! But by the way, Lee would definitely have not slept in - he's always posting great early morning shots! He just had further to travel than me otherwise I'm sure he would have pipped me to it!
Kev
FAV.
Is this a pano or just a wide shot with your 24mm?
