The London skyline is changing, so of it is exciting (see recent shots on @theboxmanreturns) and some not so (see future postings).
This moderately long exposure (actually two shots blended) was taken south of the river (not far from Tate Modern) looking across to S Paul's. In recent years they have attempted to ensure that there is a clear view to this magnificent church. However as you can see, she looks boxed in, by what looks in the daylight fairly underwhelming office blocks. At night however the lighting of these boxes add something. Or in may be just a case of a country boy being bewildered by the big city.
Long may it continue and it did beat watching 200 people, laying on the floor of the turbine hall at the Tate and filming each other whilst watching and hearing a modern exhibit. Grrrrrrr.
This is a great London shot, with the ever changing architecture, still St Pauls stands proud.. Was it that 'fish' thing in the turbine hall? I visited the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition and saw that was on.....and they call it art?? fav
@Cherrill : don't know all I could see were people selfing themselves on the floor whilst projection screens went up and down and loud music being played. I could not get engaged with it apart from people watch
It's on the curated page!
