Boat yard

My local park used to have a sailing club but a few years ago they stopped sailing on the lake as the boats disturbed the wildlife. This is the old boat yard with a few abandoned boats remaining. I like the way that nature has reclaimed it.

I discovered recently that bindweed is also know as 'granny pop out of bed' and if you pinch the bottom of the flower it does indeed pop out :-)

Nature has a way of taking over but also the bindweed climbing up on the masts of the boats makes this an interesting picture.

I thought the flowers looked a bit like the Moonflower, then after doing a bit of searching, I found that bindweed is a morning glory and the moonflower is in that family as well.
