This was taken last month on my canal walk.
I can't decide whether the curly safety barrier adds interest or spoils the shot.
Any thoughts will be appreciated.
What a lovely scene. I looked at it both ways and think it would look nicer with the safety barrier cropped out because my eyes keep wandering towards that instead of following the leading lines into the picture.
I find this a very interesting photo. The channel leads you through the whole picture ... beautiful! Converting to B / W adds an extra dimension to the environment.
This is an interesting photo. We don't have canals here so I'm curious what they are used for. I likely would have cropped out the curly barrier or either moved down to include something below it.
This is lovely. I’ve never seen a barrier like that before so I’m glad you left it in. Then again, as someone said before, the eye is definitely drawn to it. Difficult call.
I would lose the barrier, because I find it distracts, and it takes away from the period feel of the shot.
