Ruins

We visited Shenstone church yesterday and standing close to the newer 1800's church is the remains of the original much older church which is abandoned and fallen into disuse.
While the new church is lovely, I found more pleasure in looking round the ruins.
Lovely find and capture

There is something intriguing, interesting and alluring about ruins and trying to imagine the narrative. Fantastic shot.

The archway invites me to go through and explore! I like the way nature is gradually taking back the ruins.

It looks very overgrown, maybe Sleeping Beauty lives here.

Beautiful arch. I, too, would have gone straight to see the ruins first.

That simple archway, how beautiful is that! It would be wonderful to explore the garden beyond. Lovely shot!
