I went back to the canal today as the sun came out and I wanted to make the most of it.
I'm trying to increase my steps and managed just under 8 miles today - my furthest yet but I made a rookie mistake by wearing different boots and have a few blisters now so I won't be going far tomorrow.
I think the pink algae is catkin pollen sitting on top of the green algae but I like how it adds some interesting colour here. I watched a couple of ducks nibbling away at the surface so I think it must be tasty for them.
Great step counting! ...and wonderful capture of the flight of locks. This is so quintessentially classic Industrial Revolution transport system architecture! Can you tell I like it - lots!
8 miles how many steps would that be?
Great shot too.
Well done on the eight miles. Now that Covid-19 cases have dropped, I need to walk more to prepare for trips onto the North York Moors in the summer.
