Swirls

At the side of Packwood house we found this wall covered in swirls.
On closer examination we were amazed to see that it was a fig as we didn’t think they grew here in our climate.
The white square top right is a sundial. There were lots of these on the buildings around the site and even on the church a mile away. The grave of the Ash family who own the house also has a sundial on the monument.
