My Cheeky Chappie

It's the summer holidays and for a bit of fun me and the kids set up the home studio and had a go at some single light portraits using an umbrella and reflector. I got some nice shots of Robert and Emma-Grace (which I will be using for my project) but I chose this shot of Owen because out of all three of our kids he is the hardest to photograph because he messes about all the time, but I thought this image really captured that cheeky innocent look of his :) Looks very effective on black :) I've been a little short on time lately so I apologise for not thanking you for your kind comments on previous posts. Your words of encouragement are always greatly appreciated :)
oooooh so gorgeous smile!!!!!

Great low key portrait. I was just reading about the lo key and high key techniques and was a little depressed. I guess one should invest time and money (but time is harder to find) to set up a studio. Then you are lucky to have all these wonderful models!

@olenadole Thank you. That smile gets him out of trouble . . . a lot :)
@mittens Thank you very much :)
@caterina Thank you. This was taken with one flash - about £60 from Amazon - and a shoot through umbrella. Not a lot at all really and it is great fun. My kids don't always cooperate when I set up, especially Owen. So it's not always easy and can be very frustrating - grrrrr! But the results can be rewarding :)
@browngirl Thank you. I'd made him get cleaned up for the shoot :)
@gamelee Thank you. I do have a spare frame :)
@susale Thank you :)
@lyndamcg Thank you so much :)
@wag864 Thank you :)
@jocasta Thank you :)
@shylaine3304 He gets it from me ;) ;)
@megpicatilly Hmmm, he may be a good model when I get my shot but leading up to that he's the hardest of the three to photograph. But thank you :)
@carole_sandford Thank you very much :)
@aglennc Thank you. I sometimes feel like hanging him on the wall :D :D
@hermann Thank you :)
@koalagardens Ah, thank you. Do you want them :D :D
@jclaireyp Thank you. He is a cheeky boy sometimes :)

This is an awesome portrait. So professional! He is really growing up fast - no longer a boy but now a young man.
This looks stunning on black.. Be sure to add some extra width of black to your photo if you decide to print it off.
