Stone Crosses by paul10

Stone Crosses

This was taken last August but I never got around to posting it. We were exploring a churchyard in Goxhill looking for family members (we didn't find them). Anyway, I noticed a couple of overrun headstones in some trees and decided to explore a little deeper into the woods. I was more than happy when we came across this little set of headstones hidden away with just enough light filtering through the treetops to help me out. Not sure why I didn't post it at the time - must have been in a lazy phase :-o My aim this month is to get back into posting every day, though I'm struggling at the moment to get out as Helen keeps on needing the car. So it's a good job I have this image stashed away. Hey, maybe I kept it back on purpose for just such times :-) Probably better on black if you have a minute to spare.
Looks great on black Paul. The bottom right almost looks like a skull so it adds to the 'eerieness' about it. I know what you mean about posting. I am too struggling as work is so hectic at the moment but at least 365 keeps giving us a prod to do it. I'm hoping to catch up shortly. Hang on in there! :)

It does look great on black!
I empathize with you about the daily posting. I just finished a busy time but now am posting daily once again.
As a matter of fact - my month of May was the first time in a while that I did not miss any days ... and what a lift that was!
My little trick is to click on 'view this month' daily to see the progress the calendar shows. It gives me such a good feeling to see it fill up that I don't want to miss a day even if it is a filler shot.

This really stands out on black. This looks like it would be a photo in a deep, dark mystery book. I'm glad you went back and found it.

Love the processing, matches the subject beautifully. I presume they were a rather wealthy local family. I'm always curious about the lives they led
