Recycled

My friend Simon's old water tank recycled as a wood store for his log burning stove stands 2m high.
Looks as full as it can be Peter. :)

@novab Thank you Nova, it had to have an annex built on the back when he filled it up as you can see, lol:)

A very tidy, well organised friend. Nothing better than having a good stock of dry firewood - nice.

@dide Thanks for your comment Dianne, Simon is a farmer and I think its more to do with finding a use for old things, he has a collection of old tractors and motorbikes that he has restored:)

He made great use of the water tank - helps to keep his wood nice and dry. Smart thinking!

Fabulous recycling job, what a great idea. Our log shed doesn't look as grand as this. Not as many logs in it either yet. Supplies of cut logs are a bit on the low side at the moment. Not good as it is almost winter. Must get out the chain saw next week and stock up

Nice capture Peter. Is wood readily available there or is it becoming expensive & hard to get?We watch "escape to the country" and it amazes me how many want a fireplace with wood fire. After being brought up with them it would be the last thing i,d want ,Toasted front and cold back!!!.Good with a properly designed heater, but forget the open fire!!!!

@peterlgrave Thank you for your comments Peter, wood burners are becoming the in thing to fit in your home in the UK in addition to your central heating boiler system, wood is readily available reasonable cheaply, Simon has a farm with lots of trees so not a problem for him:)
