@terryliv Thank you Terry for both your comment and Fav, they are always appreciated, from a distance they look just plain black, its only close up you see the lovely feather pattens and colours:)
@stray_shooter Thank you for your kind words Ron, it was quite an easy shot to take, the Starling was on the fence on my driveway, had time to get my camera, fit the lens and fire about 10 shoots at different settings, all came out well hardest job was picking the one to post:)
@simta Большое спасибо за ваши прекрасные комментарии Татьяна, это Старлинг на заборе около 4-х метров от моей входной двери, бросился назад, чтобы получить мою камеру и взял десять выстрелов, прежде чем она улетела :)
@dianeburns Thank you Diane for finding the time to comment its much appreciated, the lovely bokeh background was caused by f8 and my neighbours bright green hedgerow:)
hello ,great minds think alike lol, I have just joined this site tonight and opened my page with a partner in crime to your photo. I am very new to using my camera, but was totally blown away with the colours captured in this starling, as comment above, I thought these birds were just blk . so is lovely to see your photo also thank you. regards Kay
@lovingandsharing Sorry Kay for the delay in responding I've been away this weekend and just got back I noticed your comment, welcome to the 365 Project, I like you joined to improve my photographs and get inspired by the images posted by others, I posted my first image on 1st January 2014 and I'm still getting inspired, wishing you all the best for your new journey along the 365 pathway:)
@pcoulson Hello Peter, I hope you have had a nice weekend away. I have already found I would like a camera with a greater zoom lol but patients and in good time, just means I will have to learn the art of being quite and sneaking in on my pray lol
@stiggle Sorry missed your comment Anja, starlings are in the decline in the UK also, it is estimated the population has declined by 66% since the 1970's for reasons unknown:)
