Starling caught standing on my fence this morning taken at 1/320 sec, f8, ISO200 with a 400mm lenes
Excellent Peter, you captured wonderful details in his feathers. And I thought they were just black. :)

Lovely shot, they are so colourful. We don't get starlings where I live, but we do see lots of them when we go to Sydney.

@stray_shooter Thank you for your kind words Ron, it was quite an easy shot to take, the Starling was on the fence on my driveway, had time to get my camera, fit the lens and fire about 10 shoots at different settings, all came out well hardest job was picking the one to post:)

Great shot, what wonderful markings that you can't see with the naked eye. Love the beautiful yellow bokeh too!

@pcoulson Hello Peter, I hope you have had a nice weekend away. I have already found I would like a camera with a greater zoom lol but patients and in good time, just means I will have to learn the art of being quite and sneaking in on my pray lol

@stiggle Sorry missed your comment Anja, starlings are in the decline in the UK also, it is estimated the population has declined by 66% since the 1970's for reasons unknown:)
