Over the fence is a field sown with rape seed very common to see fields full of yellow at this time of year in rural England,
Historically, rapeseed was mainly produced as a source of lubricant for machinery (and earlier for lamp oil) due to its high levels of glucosinolate,
Today, rapeseed is grown for the production of animal feeds, edible vegetable oils, and biodiesel (biofuel)
@quietpurplehaze Thank you for your great comments and Fav Hazel they are appreciated, went out to get a shot of the oilseed rape fields was pleased with this image myself:)
@onewing Thanks for you lovely comments Babs, for once planned to go out to get a subject photographed and actually came back with it in my camera, lol:)
@dide Thanks Dianne thought you would appreciate a scene from our rural life in England, I had to walk through undergrowth of nettles and thorn bushes to get this perspective the result was well worth it:)
I'm finally back in comment mode - and this is well worth a comment! Great shot Peter! Thanks for continuing to check in on me while running around in Oz. I really enjoyed seeing all of the sites and meeting so many amazing people. Hope your own trip to Spain went well (which it appears it did).
@stray_shooter Thank you for your great comments Ron, I enjoyed the journey with you through your photographs, we have been to many of the places you visited and it brought back great memories of our times in Oz, fancy you being so close to Kym at Mission Beach, my other niece Pam lives in Shorncliffe QLD, 10 miles north of Brisbane Airport, lot less in a straight line, we go to Spain at the same time each year for some spring sunshine, it rain for the first few days but we still enjoyed our time there:)
