Part of the parade leaving the main gate of Lincoln Castle, commemorates the fallen in the battle of the Somme WW1, the first tanks used in the battle designed and built in Lincoln plus the Munitionetts that worked in Lincoln filling shells used in WW1,
Very unusual - I'm just a bit puzzled?!

@quietpurplehaze They depict the died cavalry men and horses I think, there were lots of other things in the parade, a skeleton Tank, soldiers all in white uniforms and munition workers all in white outfits all I expect where also died, was not quite what I expected, you couldn't move along the route it was packed:)

@onewing Thank you Babs, July in Lincoln has many events commemorating 1916, it all revolves around the battle of the Somme which started on the 1st July 1916:)
