Northern Gas Networks are replacing the old steel gas pipes to our properties with new shinny yellow plastic pipework the will not degrade with time, this is one of their gas fitters at work.

@stray_shooter Thanks Ron definitely unsung hero's of the utilities company's, you my find this interesting, they run a new yellow plastic piping through the old steel gas mains so the don't have to dig all the roads and driveways up just working sized holes at each junction:)
Can tell he's not working for the local council - he's actually working..
this is a fine shot.. i like the immediacy due to the tight framing.. it's like i'm standing at the side of the hole.. your point of focus is excellent. this is really well done Peter..
@jorlam Thank you for your kind words Jorlam, I did deliberately get in close for this shot to reduce clutter around the excavation and focus on the workman, so close I'm surprised my feet were not in the shot, lol:)
