A six riders breakaway group climbing the hill into Clifton village on Stage 3 of the Tour de Yorkshire, I met up with Jorlam @jorlam to watch the race and get some photographs together had a great time testing our panning skills waiting for the riders on the fast moving police motorbikes clearing the stage.
Great action shot. The group are thinning out now. That hill must have been too much for some.
I haven't seen Jorlam posting for a while, hope she is okay.
Nice action shot.I don,t have much time for cyclists on major highways.I think that they should be registered the same as anything else using the road and adhere to the road rules which everyone else has to do.
@onewing Thank you for your comments Babs its quite a steep hill to walk up but only a moderate a climb for these professional riders, the pack are not far away, as for Jorlam she is well which is more than can be said for her computer, its been away to be fixed came back on Friday and now she can't get the internet to work, Virgin Media are trying to sort it out , Jorlam has continued taking photographs to post when she get's back on line, we could be inundated with images, lol:)
@peterlgrave Thank you for your comments Peter, wouldn't think you see many cyclist in your neck of the woods with all those wide open spaces,
A survey carried out in the UK in 2014 estimated that 42% of people aged five+ (circ. 25 million people) own a bicycle, and its estimated 1.5 million ride every day, as can be seen bicycling is a real big thing over here, we are not allowed not highways and have miles of cycle ways:)
