My Friday people this week is Pam dressed as a Skivvy (a female domestic servant who performs menial tasks, not a Australian garment) Pam said all her female relatives were Skivvies in the war mainly cleaning offices and some posh houses,

@olenadole Thank you Nadiya, people dress up just for fun, most ladies in lovely outfits but Pam dressed down for a laugh, I just had to take her portrait she was so pleased I asked:)

Love it. Whar a character. She really thought about this outfit. I love the cigarette sticking out of her turban. A Hilda Ogden look alike

@suesouthwood Thank you for your comments Sue, not a Coronation street viewer myself but I know the character, would you believe she left the soap in 1987 yes 30 years ago, it was at the request of the actress Jean Alexander, she moved on to the BBC's last of the summer wine soap staring in it from 1988 to 2010, Jean died 14-Oct-2016 at the age of 90:)

@pcoulson Ha ha, neither am I. Haven't watched it really since the days of Ena Sharples when I used to go and sit with my granny! I think Hilda Ogden was such an iconic figure that you didn't need to watch really.
