Old Mill

View up river of the old Sugden's flour mill in Brighouse,
Thomas Sugden founded the works, off Mill Royd Street, in 1829. The original mill burnt down in 1895 and a replacement was built 1896.
After its closure in 1997, the site was at the centre of a decade-long planning wrangle.
finally in 2011 it was reinvented as a state-of-the-art climbing facility.
Good to know it is still used for something.
