Woke to a blanket of snow this morning, this shot was taken from my dining room after breakfast.
You’re picture of cold appears above a palm tree in the warm...what a contrast!

@novab Thank you Nova, yes I was out clearing the road with a couple of neighbours who were keen to get to work, then ended up making a giant snow man just for fun with my neighbour who is older than me, lol:)

@bella_ss Thank you Sheralee I should have taken a shot of the snowman unfortunately it rained overnight and hes been reduce to a pile of ice and snow:)

@louannwarren Thanks Lou Ann its almost all gone now was washed away with last nights rain and its about +4 degrees C or 49 degrees Fahrenheit this morning:)

@quietpurplehaze Yes we have Hazel, of course this was not forecast and it caused chaos on the roads as the gritters had not been out overnight:)

@bella_ss I worked for two years in and around Sydney in the 1970s have been back quite a few times both working and visiting relatives, you have many amusing words and phrases out there, a sign in a bar in Sydney raised a smile " No thongs to be worn in here" I remember thinking how would they know, my sister who was living in Manley explained it was foot wear, lol:)

@rosiekind Thank you for your comment and fav, Rosie the snow seamed to be restricted to Yorkshire and was not forecast at all, caught everyone out including the highways agency people:)
