@365anne Thank you Anne for your lovely comment, we bought this property three years ago and the Corkscrew Hazel was already established in the garden:)
@quietpurplehaze Thank you for your comment Hazel its generally the Alder tree that has red Catkins but some types of willow and Hazel can produce red catkins:)
@stray_shooter Thank you for your comment Ron, Catkins allow the female flowers to be pollinated as the pollen from the male flowers is blown by the wind. Once the seeds have developed they are dispersed by the wind, the exception is willow which uses insects for pollination rather than wind, every days a school day, lol:)
