Midland Mill Bradford by pcoulson

Midland Mill Bradford

Originally built in 1871 as a worsted wool mill and also home to British Mohair Suppliers, it closed around 2001 and has since been part demolished to make way for a £35 million pound mixed residential/commercial complex. that you see still standing will be converted into 1 and 2 bed high spec apartments.
Great find, shot and info Peter. I can imagine what the price of an apartment will be ;-)

It looks quite sad in its present state, but at least it seems to be fully air condition and has a roof garden too.

I hope they do the complex well. My friend whose dogs I walk, lives in our woollen mill complex which is 2-3 bedroom homes/units which is done really well. Some parts of the mill had to be kept and designed to fit in with the complex.

@ludwigsdiana Thanks for your comment Diana, from the press releases they would be a pretty penny or two to purchase:)

@onewing Thank you Babs, it looked far more impressive before they demolished the unsafe parts of the mill:)
