Highland Cow by pcoulson

Highland Cow

Wet and windy day on the farm she did not look happy
Well she’s a wonderful cow. Here we make rugs out of cow’s hide, does your country make rugs out of highland cow’s hides?

@louannwarren Thank you for your interesting comment not something I had given any thought to Lou Ann,
The hides are used as a sofa throw, rug, or wall-hanging, the hides can also be used to beautifully upholster chairs and stools and can be made into unusual purses and other specialty leather goods:)

@pcoulson oh I’m sure they are wonderful home decor items. We use cow hide just like your country uses Highland hides, for so many things.

Love seeing these cows. They look so much more shaggy than ours here in Canada. :)

@stray_shooter Thank you Ron, like you I could not pass them by without taking a shot, all were in a small muddy field next to a stone barn as thier normal fields are still waterlogged, had to use a 300mm lens for this shot:)
